Suitable Moisturizers For Your Skin

Posted by La Hunter on 28th February 2009

A suitable Skin moisturizer is an essential tool in everyone’s skin care kit, and as people get older, their skin demands more attention in order to prevent it from becoming dry and wrinkled. Moisturizing the skin on a daily basis, will help to keep it supple, retain it’s elasticity and maintain a healthy tone. There are a multitude of cosmetic products on the market, and being able to choose the right ones can be a daunting task.

Most women pay special attention to their faces when they perform their daily skin care duties, and this is understandable as the face is the focal point for customers, visitors or people in general. However, the rest of the body from the neck down, also needs to be regularly moisturized, particularly when signs of age begin to appear. A thorough skin care regimen does not finish at the point of the chin.

The neckline does not have many sebaceous glands, nor does it have much fat tissue, so it needs to be included in your daily facial skin care regimen, otherwise it will show noticeable signs of age. It is advisable to regularly cleanse, exfoliate, and apply a suitable moisturizer to your neck and neckline, this will help to maintain natural firmness and a youthful appearance.

It is often the case that more than one type of moisturizer is needed to treat the entire body. Even the face itself may need two preparations, as the area around the eyes is particularly sensitive, and may require a very mild solution. Even those, who have an oily skin type still need to use a moisturizer on their faces, but they will probably need a more robust moisturizer for the neck and neckline.

Sensitive areas of your body require special daily treatment, as well as a monthly visit to a qualified beauty consultant in order to keep your skin firm, moist and looking fresh. Being able to determine the most suitable moisturizers for the whole body is really a job for a professional. So, visiting the local beauty parlor is a must if you want to take proper care of your skin. A beauty consultant can identify your skin type, and recommend a selection of moisturizers that are suitable for you to use on a daily basis, without any risk of discomfort.

A Discussion On LeadsLeap Widget

Posted by Oze Parrot on 23rd February 2009

February 20, 2009 | By Kenneth Koh |

One of the most common suggestions we’ve received from our members is to create a widget that members can put on their websites and earn credits from.

The most typical suggestion was to display PRO members’ ads in the widget and when visitors on your blog/website click on the ads, you earn credits.

The idea is similar to the “once-popular” BlogRush widget shown on the right.

PRO members get more traffic. You earn more credits to show your ad.

Sounds good?

I don’t think so.

My main concern is, who is going to click those ads?

Three Essential Elements Of Facial Skin Care

Posted by La Hunter on 20th February 2009

The largest and one of the most important organs of the body is the skin. As well as keeping the body intact, the skin shields our body from the elements, and prevents germs from directly attacking our internal organs. The skin is the body’s first line of defense, and as such needs to to be properly cared for on a daily basis. A skin care regimen should be established at an early age and rigidly adhered to for life.

The three essential elements that must be included in your daily skin care regimen are, to clean gently but thoroughly, to moisturize and protect your skin.

Thorough cleansing is the foundation of a good skin care program, and when cleansing your face particularly, use a cleanser that is suitable for your type of skin. An unsuitable cleanser may not clean your face thoroughly, or if you choose a soap containing ingredients that are too harsh, then you will cause damage to your complexion.

There are so many soaps and cleansing preparations available today, it could take you an eternity to find a suitable cleanser by using the trial and error method. The best idea is to check into your local beauty parlor and have a professional determine your skin type, and then recommend to you a cleanser that will work for you. This will save you time and money in the long run, as well as alleviate the frustration of sampling an array of unsuitable face cleansers.

Any makeup must be completely removed before washing your face, so that your cleanser can clean your face properly. Women have to be aware that makeup covers your pores and stops your skin from breathing naturally, so don’t go overboard with the amount you apply or the length of time that you leave it on. If you are a professional, have a business or work in an office, then you need to use cosmetics that’s okay, but once you get home get the makeup off with a good remover, and clean your face. Make sure that your face is thoroughly clean before going to bed, sleeping with makeup on is a definite no-no.

Apply a good quality moisturizer after cleansing your face to keep your skin moist and supple. Moisturizing your skin will replace any of the body’s natural oils that have been washed away, and keep your complexion fresh and healthy.

Protection is a key element of a good skin care regimen, because the skin is naked, and therefore vulnerable, without protection. Protect yourself from any hazards that may exist in your workplace, or during the course of your daily activities, by wearing appropriate clothing.

Ten or fifteen minutes of early morning sunshine is beneficial to our bodies, but any more than that can cause skin damage. Avoid the afternoon sun as much as possible, and remember to always wear a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen when you are outdoors.

Well, there you have the three essential elements of a good skin care regimen. Clean your body thoroughly to remove bacteria and prevent infection. Moisturize your skin to keep it flexible and healthy. Protect yourself from injury and sun damage.

Pregnancy Acne indicates Baby Gender

Posted by La Hunter on 15th February 2009

Does a sudden acne outbreak on a woman’s face, somehow indicate the gender of the baby that she may be carrying?

For those of you who are lucky enough to have a great Grandmother to ask, then the answer would be definitely yes, the baby is a girl! And, if your bout of acne came out of the blue, then probably she also told you that you were pregnant before you had tested positive.

This article looks at this long standing belief to determine if it holds any credence, or if it is really just an old wives tale… Read Story Here

A Simple Strategy To Increase Website Traffic

Posted by Oze Parrot on 13th February 2009

February 13, 2009 | By Kenneth Koh |

I’ve shared many strategies to increase website traffic in this blog and here is another easy strategy that you can implement in less than 30 minutes from now.

The strategy is to publish your existing website in different languages and increase your website traffic from the search engines.

This is not a new strategy, but I kind of forgotten about it until one member asked about website translation in our Tuesday With Kenneth Q&A session. (See, when you help people, you help yourself!)

To give this strategy a test, I translated 5 of my niche sites in December 2008 and then I simply waited…… Read Story Here

Facial Skin Care Soap Or Cleanser

Posted by La Hunter on 10th February 2009

Your face is the very first thing that others look at when they meet you or pass you by. Your face is a window to your personality and as such should be paid special attention, and pampered with soaps or cleansers that are specifically designed to care for your type of facial skin.

If you are one of the many who use soap to clean your face, then you need to be careful that you choose a product that is mild and gentle to your skin. Most beauty technicians recommend that a formulated cleanser be used on facial skin, rather than soap. Facial skin cleansers are carefully manufactured to gently clean, soothe, and moisturize the skin, as well as enhance skin tone and give the face a fresh, natural look.

Soap products, on the other hand, are designed to remove dirt and grime from all types of skin, which means that the product needs to be strong enough to remove stubborn dirt, and need not possess the skin care qualities of a facial cleanser. While soap will effectively remove dirt or grime, it does tend to leave the skin dry, and over time this will detract from the skin’s natural tone. However, if you have oily skin, this is not such a problem, although facial cleansers are formulated for particular skin types and may be more suitable for your facial skin.

If you have a skin condition such as acne or eczema, then regular soaps should not be used, instead choose a very mild antibacterial soap, or a product recommended by your doctor or beautician. There are many skin care preparations available that have been especially formulated to gently cleanse infected facial skin.

Complexion bars are skin cleansers that are formed into soap like bars. This makes them convenient to use, and they are formulated from a huge range of oils, herbs and spices. There is a complexion bar available to care for whatever type of skin you have, or what ever problem you may have with your skin. You will find complexion bars at your health shop, pharmacy or supermarket.

Whether you elect to use soap, a facial cleanser or a complexion bar, it is imperative that you choose a product that is suitable for your skin type. You can ask advice from your doctor or visit you local beauty parlor and get a professional opinion on products that you should use to cleanse your facial skin.

Regular Facial Skin Cleansing

Posted by La Hunter on 8th February 2009

As part of your daily skin care regimen, it is important to give your face special attention, as this is the focal point of your body. Your daily activities, will bring you into contact with all kinds of bacteria that collects on your clothes or hands. Eventually these impurities will wind up on your face and neck, where they can clog skin pores and affect your skin tone.

Skin oils that are released naturally by your body can collect dirt. Any lotion, sunscreen or makeup that you use on your face will also attract it’s share of dirt particles. During the course of the day, your face is covered by an invisible layer of grime that is a haven for bacteria, which is constantly multiplying and attacking your facial skin.

Of course, this largely depends on the environment and climatic conditions in your neighborhood, nevertheless, in the workplace, supermarket or even at home, there are many things you will come into contact with that are not regularly cleaned. Our hands come into contact with dusty or bacteria laden objects quite regularly, and from there, germs are transmitted to other parts of the body.

Even when you are sitting quietly reading, writing or watching television, you may be inclined to rest your chin on your hands, or subconsciously tap a pen on your forehead, then you are transmitting any germs that may be present directly to your face. When you are performing just about any activity you will subconsciously touch your face, even just putting on your glasses, a hat or brushing away an insect.

These are the reasons that it is so important to cleanse your facial skin thoroughly, as part of your daily skin care regimen. Wash your face gently with fresh, cool water twice a day. Choose soaps and toners that are suitable for you kind of skin. Always check the label of any skin care preparation before you buy, to make sure that they contains no harsh ingredients that may damage your skin.

Cleanse Your face thoroughly before you go to bed, so that your skin can breathe properly while you sleep, and also so that you do not transmit any bacteria or dirt from your face to the pillow case. In the mornings, rinse your face thoroughly before applying any makeup or sunscreen.

If you have any problems with the skin care products that you are using, visit your local beauty parlor, where you will get advice on the best products to use, and for professional guidance on how to properly cleanse your facial skin.

Regular Cleansing Supports A Healthy Skin

Posted by La Hunter on 5th February 2009

Many people inadvertently cause problems for their skin by not realizing that it needs to be regularly cleansed and cared for, in much the same way as they care for their other most prized possessions. For example, just take note of how many times a day you touch your face with your hands. Now, people use their hands to touch everything, from the front gate to the office escalator, and other things that are not often cleaned, such as money.

It is not practical to keep your hands completely free of bacteria or germs at all times, no matter how often your hands are washed. So, every time you subconsciously scratch your chin or an acne blemish, you are transmitting unwanted microbes to your face, and giving them the opportunity to enter the skin’s pores, or any open wounds.

The type of cleansers that you use on your face may irritate your skin, particularly if your skin is sensitive and not able to cope with certain ingredients that are commonly used in commercial soaps. You should always treat your skin as though it is your most valuable possession, and care for it accordingly. Always read the label on any soap, shampoo or face cream, and determine what ingredients are in the product, before you make your purchase. Use only quality facial preparations that are suitable for your skin type, and they need not be extravagantly priced.

Wash your face gently no more than twice a day, with cool, fresh water using only your hands, don’t scrub with a flannel, as this can irritate your skin and cause problems. Use a soft towel to dab your skin dry without rubbing. This will help to stop your skin from stretching, and prevent wrinkles from forming.

Becoming aware of the need to keep you face clean at all times, will certainly help your facial skin to present a fresh, natural appearance. Avoid touching your face as much as possible, particularly while you are working, shopping or using your hands to handle public property items. In order to maintain a healthy skin, you must give it proper care, cleanse it regularly, and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
