Your skin needs to be thoroughly cleansed at least once a day. Begin your day by using a mild cleanser and a cool shower, don’t use hot water, as it will dry out your skin and cause problems. Wash your skin gently, using only your hands to apply your cleanser, and try to avoid using any soap on your face. If you apply makeup before you go out, always remove it when you get home and rinse your face with cool water. Relax in a lukewarm bath before going to bed at night, to gently remove any grime deposits that have accumulated during the day.

If you feel the need to exfoliate your skin, check with your beauty therapist first for advice. Scrubbing your skin can cause damage if you do it too often, or without proper care. There are preparations available that you can use to gently exfoliate your skin if the need arises.

Choose a good quality moisturizer that is suitable for your type of skin, to nourish and soften your skin. Dry skin is easily damaged and looks unattractive, so do your best to keep your skin moist by avoiding windy conditions and exposure to the afternoon sun. It is best to apply a moisturizer after your bath or shower.

When you work or play outdoors in the sun, always apply a good quality sunscreen to protect your skin from the damaging affects of the sun. This also applies on dull days, as the ultra violet rays from the sun are still active.

If you discover any abnormalities like sores, discoloration or scabs developing on your skin, take notice, don’t ignore these symptoms no matter how trivial they may seem, as they are an indication that something is not right. Treat your skin with care and respond to any outbreaks by consulting a health care professional.

Your skin is one of your bodies most important organs and proper care of your skin should be as natural as eating, breathing or sleeping.

There is one fatal mistake that internet marketing newbies make, that is, trying to make money online.

I’m not trying to be a wet blanket here. I simply want to highlight to you the way Nature works.

Let me share with you a little story:

Recently I was trying to teach my nephew swimming because he told me that he was very interested in learning it.

For those of you who have learnt swimming, you know that before you can swim, you have to learn many things like how to kick your legs, how to blow bubbles in the water etc.

When I taught my nephew how to kick his legs, he tried it for a while and then ask, “I know how to kick now, but why I still can’t swim.” Throughout the session, while learning how to swim, he kept asking me why he still can’t swim.

My nephew is 7 years old. His reaction towards learning how to swim reminds me of many internet marketing newbies.

Many newbies are eager to learn how to make money online. Whenever they learn something, they want to see the money immediately.

The attachment to making money online is often the seed of failure.

Learning to make money online is similar to learning anything else. One should first master the basics.

When the basics are mastered, making money online is just a natural outcome.

Most people suffer from an acne outbreak at some stage of their lives, some have mild, fleeting attacks while others suffer severe, prolonged attacks that leave them with permanent physical and emotional scars. Consequently, there are many treatment options available for acne sufferers to help them ease the symptoms and rid themselves of the disorder.

Acne is a serious condition that can disrupt a person’s life both socially and professionally, but at least there are effective preparations available to deal with the most common types of acne. General acne skin care products include skin cleansers, makeup removers and acne astringents. These acne skin care products are actually those that should be used as part of your daily skin care regimen, with the possible exception of an astringent. The regular use of an astringent would depend on whether or not you have an oily complexion.

Acne skin care products limit the production of sebum and clear clogged skin pores. This allows dead skin cells to shed naturally, which prevents natural oils from getting trapped below the skin’s surface, causing bacteria to develop into an acne outbreak. Formulated acne skin care packs will also include exfoliation products such as skin peels, which remove dead skin cells, and therefore reduce the possibility of clogged skin pores and the development of bacteria.

A range of formulated acne skin care products are available over the counter at pharmacies and most department stores. Products containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid are popular and quite effective, as they fight bacteria and bring acne outbreaks under control. Initially, a mild solution of benzoyl peroxide should be tested on your skin, and if there is no allergic reaction, the solution can be gradually strengthened until the required results are achieved.

Moisturizers that contain a five to ten percent concentration of glycolic acid will help to bring acne pimples under control. Glycolic acid can be harmful to those who have sensitive skin, and it also makes the skin more prone to sunburn, so it is best to make sure that there is only a small amount of glycolic acid contained in the product, before making your purchase.

For more serious cases of acne that do not respond to topical OTC preparations, you will need to see a dermatologist, who can provide professional advice and prescribe a course of acne treatment medications that will rid you of the disease.

In my last blog post, I said that blog plays a different role in advertising. As a follow up, let’s discuss the purpose of blogging and the role it plays in advertising.

My discussion is purely from marketing point of view. If you are blogging for fun or to pass time, that’s another purpose but it’s not our focus here.

So, why blog?

1. To Use It As A Bait

Blog is a good bait to attract traffic to your website.

First, if your blog is search engine optimized (I discussed this last week), it is a good bait to hook search engine traffic.

Second, if you provide useful information on your blog, it is a good bait to hook more traffic through networking and referrals from other bloggers.

Last but not least, it is a good bait to hook your existing traffic, who will revisit your website again and again.

2. To Differentiate Yourself From Others

With so many websites and competition on the net, it’s really not easy to make yourself stand out from the rest.

But with a good blog, you stand a much better chance.

Through blogging, you can connect with your audiance, let them know you better and thus foster better relationship with them.

Nowadays it seems that everyone is having a blog, but many have no idea how to drive traffic to blog. I hope today’s discussion can shed some light to bloggers who are struggling to drive traffic to their blogs.

From time to time, I get people asking me if they should advertise their blog to get traffic. My advice is always ‘No’. If you have a new blog, remember, advertising it is not the way to get traffic. There are some exceptional cases of course. But in most cases, advertising is not a good traffic source for blogs. (Blog plays a different role in advertising. I may discuss this next time.)

Have you heard of gurus saying that blogging is a way to get traffic?

Yet bloggers are scratching their heads wondering how to drive traffic to blog.

Shouldn’t blogging generate traffic? If so, why do you need to drive traffic to your blog? Shouldn’t you just keep blogging and your blog should generate traffic on its own?

Well, you know things are not that simple.

A new blog is capable of generating traffic on its own ONLY IF it’s optimized for search engine. Else, you’ll have to think of ways to drive traffic to the blog and that can be tedious and even frustrating to some.

In my opinion, if you were to start a blog, it must be optimized for search engine. That’s the laziest way to drive traffic to your blog.
