Best Beauty Award Goes To Murad

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Nov 12, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Murad’s Acne Treatment Concealer has been named an Allure Editor’s Choice “Best of Beauty” award winner. Noted in the October 2008 issue as the “Best Concealer for Blemishes,” Allure describes the product as “opaque enough to mask zits,” and unlike other blemish concealers, Murad’s “treats with salicylic acid but doesn’t dehydrate skin.”

Nearly 2,500 products were submitted for Allure’s awards this year, with honors going to 182 top products.

“It’s very exciting that our Acne Treatment Concealer has won this award from Allure,” said Howard Murad, M.D., dermatologist, CEO, and founder of Murad, Inc. “Acne is the most common skin disease, so it’s wonderful to see that this product has been noted as significantly effective in covering and treating breakouts.”

Murad, Inc. was founded in 1989 by Howard Murad. M.D., one of the world’s foremost authorities on skin health and a pioneer of the clinical skincare movement. All Murad products are based on The Science of Cellular Water, Dr. Murad’s unified theory of health and aging.

Acne is a common skin disorder that affects about three quarters of the population. Nearly everybody will suffer from an acne outbreak of some sort, at some time during their life time. It is extremely difficult to find a topical preparation that will discretely cover unsightly pimples, so that they become unnoticeable, without causing further harm to an already inflamed skin condition.

Many acne sufferers, who are reluctant to appear in public because of ugly blemishes on their face, will find comfort in this award winning beauty aid, and be able to mix socially or professionally once again, without feeling self conscious about their looks.
